Waiver of Subrogation changes effective August 1, 2019

Effective August 1, 2019, on new and renewal policies, SIF will offer a Blanket Waiver of Subrogation endorsement to our policyholders who are contractually required by a third-party to provide this waiver.

The advantages of issuing this type of waiver include:

• Only a single call to your underwriter requesting the waiver be added to your policy is necessary. SIF will renew the endorsement annually unless you, as the policyholder, or your Insurance Agent terminates it.
• Details, such as the name of the company requiring the waiver, job duration, number of employees, or payroll associated with a specific waiver, are no longer required.
• The endorsement (along with your other renewal documents) will be available on our portal for easy access if a copy is needed to accompany a certificate of insurance.

SIF offers the convenience and flexibility of the blanket waiver as the primary waiver endorsement. The annual fee will be $250.00 for the blanket waiver. Specific waivers are still available for $250.00 per waiver.
